'Too Blessed to be Stressed’ - Bethany Ladies Camp (Adele Holdt)
The Bethany Ladies Camp took place at CYARA camp site in the Magaliesberg, from the 5th to the 7th of August. Our theme was: Too blessed to be stressed. This is a beautiful camp site with lovely rooms. Each room has its own bathroom. The food was absolutely outstanding.
Di Louwrens gave an introduction to each session and after that, the ladies were divided into small groups where we worked through a booklet called: Surviving the storms of stress. We were all blessed as we worked our way through some wonderful Scripture verses. In our small groups we were able to share each other’s burdens and joys!
We were able to pray together and new friendships were formed.
We did a lovely craft with Janice and Shelly Ash on Saturday afternoon. It was great fun to stick and glue little tiles onto mosaic hearts and just to be creative together.
After the craft, some ladies went for an hour hike up the mountain. The weather could not have been more perfect! We sat at the foot of a wooden cross and marveled at the beauty of God’s creation.
Lizelle and Chrissie kept us crying with laughter on Saturday evening when we had to do a fashion show with nothing but cheap plastic packets as material to use for our outfits.
The ladies, especially the young girls, surprised everybody with their creative thinking.
We truly thank the Lord for a wonderfully, blessed camp.
We can’t wait for the next one!
